A life devoted to helping others heal

I grew up in Stamford, Connecticut, and became Torah observant in my mid-teens — a pivot that set the course for everything that followed. After completing yeshiva studies and receiving rabbinic ordination, I pursued advanced degrees in psychology, education, and social work, ultimately earning my doctorate.

In 2002, I moved to Israel with my family, first to Raanana and then to Jerusalem, where I've built a thriving practice serving a wonderfully diverse community of clients — from Jerusalem locals to families across North America, Europe, and beyond.

Over 25 years in psychotherapy have taught me that healing is rarely simple, and always deeply personal. What works is a real, genuine connection between therapist and client, grounded in rigorous clinical method and honest human care.

How I approach therapy

Connection first

The therapeutic relationship is the most important ingredient in healing. I work hard to create a space of genuine trust, warmth, and safety — because real change happens inside that connection.

Evidence & wisdom

I integrate the best of modern psychotherapy — CBT, DBT, mindfulness — with the profound insights of the Jewish tradition. Science and spirituality are not in conflict; they illuminate each other.

No stone unturned

I take a comprehensive view of every client's situation — biological, psychological, social, and spiritual. I pride myself on not stopping until we've found what actually works for you.

Practical & goal-oriented

Therapy should produce real results in your real life. We'll set clear goals and measure progress — while remaining flexible to the needs of each unique person and moment.

Dr. Mark has published books and extensive writings on cognitive therapy, Jewish spirituality, and parenting — all reflecting his integrative approach.
